Description

1. 944 ST PETER'S STREET (North East Side) Nos 1 to 3 (consec) (The Weavers) TR 1457 NE 4/69 3.12.49. II GV 2. Dated 1500. This was one of the workshops of the Huguenot weavers. Timber-framed house restored, the timbering renewed and the infilling is now of roughcast. 2 storeys and attic. 3 gables. 3 windows, 1st floor overhangs on the protruding ends of the floor joists on the street front. Modern shop fronts facing the street. The river elevation has 5 gables and 5 restored mullioned and transomed bays with leaded lights. The interior has a renewed king post and a restored staircase. Wrought iron fire grate dated 1641. Nos 1 to 10 (consec) form a group. Listing NGR: TR1479657951
