Description

1. 944 STATION ROAD WEST TR 1458 SE 2/315A Canterbury West Station II 2, Built in 1846. 1 storey stuccoed. The hipped roof is now covered in corrugated iron. Wide eaves cornice. 6 sashes with glazing bars intact. Recessed centre portion, supported by 2 Greek Doric fluted columns and 2 pilasters. Portion of 2 storeys and 3 windows on each side of this. Near this building was the terminus of the Canterbury and Whitstable railway, opened in 1830, the earliest railway in the South of England. Listing NGR: TR1457358387
