Cella with stepped pyramidal roof. Prominent metope frieze with paterae. Steps leading to vault flanked by rusticated walls. Pylon-shaped doors to vault, with lintel inscribed JANUA VITAE; wooden doors sport WE monogram, with quatrefoil grilles. Dwarf enclosing wall with cast iron railings inscribed CHARLES BARRY and ST PANCRAS IRONWORKS 1875. History: Wynne Ellis (1790-1875) was a London silk merchant and liberal MP, best known for his Old Master collection: see DNB. The mausoleum was built following the death of his wife in 1872. Charles Barry was also engaged on the extensive rebuilding of All Saints Church in 1875-76. Listing NGR: TR1173766246
