Description

1. 5273 HARBLEDOWN LONDON ROAD Hopebourne TR 1258 31/365 29.9.52 II 2. Originally called Heppleburn. An L-shaped building. The west or rear wing is C17. Two storeys faced with rough plaster. Tiled roof. Two casement windows. Early C19 porch of solid type flanked by pilasters with cornice and blocking course over and doorcase with rectangular fanlight and door of 9 panels. To the west of the porch is another early C19 doorway with pilasters, a flinted frieze, a projecting cornice on brackets, a moulded surround within the pilasters and a 6 panelled door. The east wing is C18 of muoh higher elevation. Three storeys red brick. Hipped tiled roof with moulded wooden eaves cornice. Brick stringcourses. Five windows. The centre window bay projects with a small pediment over. Sashes with glazing bars intact. Listing NGR: TR1279558194
