2. C18 facade to timber-framed building. 3 storeys brick. Old tiled roof. Wooden bracket cornice. 2 cambered C19 sashes. Stringcourse and keystone. C19 front has central doorcase with rectangular fanlight and right side doorcase with panelled door.
Nos 38 to 44 (consec) and Nos 1 to 9 (consec) Butchery Lane together with Nos 1 to 8A (consec) and Nos 10 to 16 Mercery Lane form a group.
