Description

1. 5273 HARBLEDOWN SUMMER HILL (south side) Nos 11 to 14 (consec) (Harbledown Place) TR 1358 31/374 30.1.67 II GV 2. An early C19 terrace. Three storeys stuccoed, the ground floor rusticated. Parapet. Eight sashes with glazing bars intact. On the ground floor is a colonnade of solid wooden columns supporting iron balconies on the first floor with trellised iron columns, supporting tent-shaped canopies. The first floor windows have rectangular fanlights over them with quatrefoil glazing. Round-headed doorcases up flights of steps with semi-circular fanlights and doors of 8 moulded panels. No 11 has a bay of 3 windows on the ground floor. The gardens of the houses were originally separated by brick walls ending in stuccoed piers supporting large pineapples, of which only that between Nos 11 and 12 survives. Listing NGR: TR1334558043
