Listed Building: BARN ABOUT 1 METRE EAST OF NURSERY FARMHOUSE (1084682)

GOUDHURST LONDON ROAD TQ 63 SE (south side) 8/216 Barn about 1 metre east of Nursery Farmhouse GV II Barn. Dated 1842, but with much reused C16/C17 timber. Timber framed and weather boarded on sandstone and red brick base with plain tiled roof. Hipped roof with gablets, and with outshots to left and to right and to rear, with carriage doors to centre (the rear carriage doors recessed between outshots). Two wooden casements on each floor and glazed door to left and boarded door to centre left. Interior: queen strut roof: tie beams at 1st floor level support- ing a inserted but now removed floor, and studded partitions to outshots. Dated HPC 1842 on rear wall, but clearly a rebuilt earlier structure. Listing NGR: TQ6936334121
