Description
                            GOUDHURST                     BEDGEBURY PARK TQ 73 SW 9/83                                                 Rain Pump at 723 348 -                                                    II Rain pump and shafts.  Mid C19.  Red brick.  Wooden boarded doors cover a flight of steps within brick retaining walls, descending to the domed pump-chamber, with a brick-lined arched tunnel leading off to the south-west to Bedgebury Park House.  The pump machinery still fully extant and inscribed:  Easton                                                               25 Victoria St                                                               London.  The 4 inch rain pump supplied water to the fountain, stable court and bothy at Bedgebury Park.
