TQ 55 41 SPELDHURST SPELDHURST HILL (north side), SPELDHURST 12/565 Pair of Drury headstones approx 7m south of the nave of the Church of St Mary the Virgin GV II
Pair of adjacent headstones. Both are late C18 in memory of members of the Drury family. Both are similar upright sandstone slabs with curvilinear- shaped heads inscribed with crossed arrows and scrolls. Fielded panels below are inscribed with Roman serif upper and lower case lettering. The left one stands approx 450mm and commemorates the death of Julia Drury but the date is buried. The right one stands approx 350mm high and both the name and date are buried.
