Revettment walls. Probably late C19. Coursed blocks of sandstone ashlar. The road alongside the south east side of the churchyard drops well below the churchyard level and the churchyard is revetted by a tall battered wall. There are stone steps down from the churchyard in the eastern corner and the wall returns along the north east side of the churchyard, onto the garden of the Old Post Office Cottage (q.v.). Here the wall is not as high. it is also more vertical and has bull-nosed coping.
These walls play an important role in the character of the village and forms part of a group with other listed building in the vicinity of the Church of St Mary (q.v.).
