TQ 67 41 BRENCHLEY HIGH STREET, BRENCHLEY (south side) 15/101 2 Chest tombs about 9m south east of the porch of the Church of All Saints GV II
Pair of chest tombs. Circa mid C18. Freestone. Pair of low chests, adjacent to the churchyard path, both with chamfered lids. The northern chest commemorates Isaac Lewis, dated 1745. The inscription on the southern chest is illegible.
This pair of chest tombs forms a good group with the Wimshurst headstones and bodystones (q.v.) in the north east corner of an outstanding churchyard.
