Description

FRITTENDEN BUBHURST LANE TQ 84 SW (north side) 3/4 Little Bubhurst GV II House. C15 or earlier extended c.1500 and altered early C19. Timber framed and weather boarded and part clad in red and blue brick. Plain tiled roof. Late medieval hall house with jettied cross wing of c.1500. One storey hall range with half-hipped roof and gablet. Cross wing of 2 storeys and attic, with jetty (moulded bressummer remains below weather boarding) and hipped roof and 1 hipped dormer. Tall moulded stack cluster to centre. Metal casement to left and 3 light wooden casements on each floor of cross-wing. Mid C20 hipped porch with boarded door to centre. Casement and sash on first floor and French doors on ground floor of right return with 1 storey late C20 extension to rear right. Interior: Hall range with crown post roof; crosswing with queen post roof. Listing NGR: TQ8292341655
