7/438 Pair of Salmon headstones approx 10m south of the chancel of the Church of St Martin GV II
Pair of headstones. Mid C18 in memory of members of the Salmon family. Both are upright sandstone slabs standing approx 450mm with shaped heads carved with winged cherubs' heads and inscriptions in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering. However both are different in character. Left one records the death of Edward Salmon in 1767 and the right one (cruder in character) records the death of Ann Saman (sic) in 1757.
