HAWKHURST THE MOOR TQ 7429-7529 (south side)
18/376 Two headstones to Exeter family, about 20 metres north west of Church of St Lawrence GV II Two headstones. Thomas (d.1727) and Elizabeth (d.1734) Exeter. Double headstone, about 2 feet high, with scroll-shaped head, with incised central bones and skull and motto: momento mori. John Exeter, d.1744. About 3 feet high, with fielded inscription panel, and scrolled shoulders to head with crudely executed cherub's head with skull and hourglass.
