TQ 67 41 BRENCHLEY HIGH STREET, BRENCHLEY (south side) 15/123 Pair of Noaks headstones and railings in the south east corner of the churchyard of the Church of All Saints GV II Pair of headstones, each enclosed by cast iron railings. Late C19 and early C20. White marble. The northernmost is Gothic with an arched head and shafts with carved ribs below a blind cusped arch with carved spandrels. Inscription commemorates William Noaks, died 1899. Iron railings enclose a square area in front of the headstone: these have 2 horizontal rails with barleysugar standards with bud finials. The southern headstone, designed in a matching style, has a trefoil-headed inscription panel. The enclosing railings have barleysugar standards and horizontal rails, the verticals with fleur-de-lis finials. Listing NGR: TQ6798341657
