TQ 66 NE COBHAM THE STREET 5/24 (north side) 27.8.52 The Leather Bottle Inn II C17 timber-framed with plaster infilling and tiled roof. L-shaped. Enlarged and to a great extent rebuilt in C20. North end of west wing completely new. Chimney inglenook and some timber-framing original. Two casement windows to front elevation and to side elevation all modern. Grade II on account of association with Charles Dickens novel "Pickwick Papers" including inscribed Sarsen stone now set against south-west angle. Listing NGR: TQ6699668456
