Probably early C20, dating from a period when the garden was designed by the brother of the owner, a newspaper magnate called Johnstone (Lee). Rusticated stone. The coped wall immediately south of the house has a series of deep low buttresses on the south side. Steps lead down to the second terrace, the steps with flanking ramped walls surmounted by ball finials. The walls of the second terrace are surmounted by urns.
