FRITTENDEN THE STREET TQ 8040-8140 (north west side)
14/60 Wall and outhouse attached to Well House GV II Wall and outhouse. Circa 1846-8, probably by R C Hussey. Wealden sandstone with Caen stone dressings and plain tiled roof. Wall about 4 feet high, with moulded coping, also forming the boundary wall of the churchyard; running in 2 sections, eastwards from low pier adjoining the lychgate, to the rear wing of Well House, about 50 metres; eastwards again from the rear wing of Wells House, about 50 metres, incorporating the outhouse; single storey with gable ends to road and churchyard, with 2 boarded door to left return that to right with shouldered surround. Arched surround to mullioned window on road front: Cusped quartrefoil in churchyard gable. Central moulded stone stack. Part of the complex designed by R C Hussey with the rebuilt church (see B O E Kent I 290).
