Description
                            STROOD            CUXTON ROAD TQ 7369 SW 5/272                                           No 49 (Strood                                                 Conservative 19.3.85                                         Club)                                                 II Former house, now Strood Conservative Club.  Early C19.  Stuccoed brick; Welsh slate hipped roof.  End stacks.  Double-depth plan. 2 storeys.  Front: symmetrical 3-window plan.  Overhanging eaves. 3 12-pane hornless sashes in reveals under flat window arches. Central porch with Tuscan Doric columns in antis and moulded entablature,  set  on  stone  steps.    Half-glazed  door  under rectangular overlight.  To either side round headed sash window recessed under round-headed painted brick arch with imposts.  1st floor plat band.  Left-hand extension with blocked round-headed arch.
