House. C15 and extended mid C20. Timber framed and exposed with red brick and plaster infill with plain tiled roof. Three framed bay hall house plan. One storey and attic (of large panel framing, arch braced,) on ragstone plinth with jettied return elevations with hipped roof and gablets, C20 central gabled dormer and stack to centre left. Three wooden casements on ground floor, with diamond-set mullioned upper hall window exposed to centre right, and (blocked) framed entrance centre left to screens passage. Present entry by boarded door in C20 rear wing. Interior: embattled and fillet moulded dais beam with joists for doors to parlour/stairs. Evidence of cross-passage between single bay hall (ceiled and stack c.1600) and service bay. Trussed rafter roof. (See Mercer, English Vernacular Houses, p.173).
