TR 03 SW BILSINGTON NEWCHURCH ROAD (east side) 6/67 Barn about 50 metres south- west of Court Lodge GV II* Barn. C15. Timber framed and weather boarded on high ragstone and red brick base with plain tiled roof. Hipped roof with gablets and hipped midstrey to left. Interior: three bays with terminal outshots and aisles. Passing shores to main arcade posts, with short, deeply cut jowls to aisle posts and arcade posts, and deep, thin and eccentrically placed arched braces to tie beams. Roof of 3 plain crown posts, braced to the collar purlin. The manor of Bilsington Inferior (Court Lodge adjacent) to which the barn belongs was appropriated to the Augustinian Canons of Bilsington Priory.
