Description

1. 5272 CHARING BARNFIELD ROAD Foxen Farmhouse TQ 94 NW 10/72 14.2.67 II 2. Mediaeval hall-house, said to have earlier origins. Timber-framed building on a stone base, refaced with red brick on the ground floor and tile-hung above. The centre window bay, which is narrow, is recessed with its timbering exposed, overhanging eaves supported on curved braces and a pointed wooden doorway. Hipped tiled roof. Three casement windows with small square leaded panes to those on first floor. The interior has exposed beams and original opening to buttery or pantry. Listing NGR: TQ9226848519
