In the entry for 21/3 BETHERSDEN THE STREET (South Side) West View Laburnam Part 2 of the entry should be amended to read: Early C20 building in vernacular style, using traditional materials, including some old beams. Red brick with grey headers below,fishscale tile hanging above. Clay tiled roof. Two storeys, three bays. Double hung sashes on first floor. On ground floor left a small butcher's shop. First floor overhang at right on old timbers, with garage beneath having double iron studded doors. Included partly for group considerations. 1. 5272 BETHERSDEN THE STREET (south side) West View Laburnam TQ 9240 21/3 II GV 2. C16 or earlier timber-framed building, refaced in the C19 with red brick and grey headers on the ground floor and hung with curved tiles above, but the east end of the first floor still retaining its overhang on the protruding ends of the floor joists, with double iron-studded shed doors beneath this. Hipped tiled roof. Three sashes with glazing bars missing. Later shop-front to west side. Listing NGR: TQ9284940265
