House.  C16,timberframed clad with galletted ragstone with red brick dressings.                                   Plain tiled roof.  Two storeys and basement on plinth, with red brick quoins and pilaster strips flanking window bays.  Hipped roof with gablets and stack to end right.  Two wooden casements on first floor with central blank panel.  Three wooden casements on ground floor with segmental heads, that to centre originally a doorway.  Segmentally headed basement opening to centre right.  Entry now in weatherboarded outshot to rear.  Interior: frame and C16 cellar with stairs reported. Associated with the infamous Ransley gang of C18/C19 smugglers.
