House. Probable late C15 and early C16 open hall house of 2 bays with storeyed end bay converted to lobby entrance plan by the insertion of C17 brick chimney stack and refronted in C18. Timber framed, the framing visible to north east with plastered infill but red brick in Flemish bond to south west, English bond brickwork to south east and C18 pentice in Sussex bond brickwork to north west. Steeply pitched tiled roof with off central brick chimney stack. 2 storeys. 3 windows. C19 triple casements with cambered heads to ground floor on front and central doorcase with cambered hood. Plinth. North east front has ground floor of Flemish bond brickwork and 1st floor with exposed frame with curved brace visible and wattle and daub infill. Mainly C19 casements, but 2 C17 wood mullioned casements to right hand side. Interior retains roll-moulded dais beam. Right side room has C17 open fireplace with chamfered wooden bressumer and C19 iron range. Left side room has open fireplace with bressummer with run out stops, C17 spine beam with lambs tongue stop and chamfered floor joists. 2 C18 winder staircases. 1st floor has exposed frame with jowled corner posts, arched braces, fine octagonal crown post with moulded top, 4 head braces and collar braces. Sooted rafters in centre of roof. Service end has old floorboards. Some internal lath and plaster walls. Some C18 plank doors.
