Yellow stock bricks with rubbed brick heads and hipped slate roofs, stone dressings and iron gates. Rectangular single-depth plan lodges face each other across the inner side of gateway. Lodges each a single storey; 5-window range; rubbed brick flat arches to 6/6-pane sashes, and end doorways with flush 4-panel doors. Gateway has openwork iron piers decorated with anchors and telescopes, swept gates and wickets either side within short lengths of railing, with spear finials; plain brick piers and coped wall with interval piers. Subsidiary features: W alls extend for approximately 200 metres either side of the gateway parallel with the front of the Royal School of Music.
