GILLINGHAM TQ7668NW PROSPECT ROW, Brompton 686-1/5/40 (East side) 24/02/50 Nos.3 AND 4 (Formerly Listed as: PROSPECT ROW, Brompton (East side) Nos.2-20 (Consecutive)) GV II House. Early/mid C18. Red Flemish bond brick with a right-hand brick party wall stack and a tiled roof with a rear central lateral wing. PLAN: 2-room right-angle plan to No 3, with double-depth plan with ridge parallel to street to No.4. EXTERIOR: No.3: 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. A good left-hand timber doorcase with architrave and bracketed broken modillion pediment, panelled eaves and 6-panel door, the top 2 glazed. 2 rubbed brick flat arches on the ground floor, 6/6-pane horned sashes in flush frames, with rectangular sunken apron panels, raised in the middle, and a dormer with a flat-headed casement. The ridge of the rear range raised above the front roof. Rear 2-room gable, a pair with that of No.2 (qv). No.4: 2 storeys; 2+2-window range, the earlier left-hand part taller and with rubbed brick flat arches over C19 margin-pane and glazing-bar sashes of 3/6 panes to upper floor and 6/6-pane to ground floor; the right-hand part with keyed segmental arches over 6/6-pane sashes in flush sash boxes, the upper floor added in later C19 with similar sash; pedimented doorcase to far left.
