GILLINGHAM TQ86NW MOOR STREET, Rainham 686-1/8/115 (North side) 24/02/50 Moor Street House GV II Includes: Moor Street House SEYMOUR ROAD. Farmhouse. Mid-late C18, extended early C19. Flemish bond brick with gable and ridge stacks, tiled roof, half hipped to the rear. PLAN: 2-room plan with rear extension. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 5-window range. Double-fronted with a corbelled eaves cornice, left-of-centre doorway has an architrave and flat canopy, 6-panel door and 3-pane overlight; segmental arched heads to 6/6-pane sashes; gables have a 2-centre arched attic casement behind the stack. Left-hand rear C19 wing is a 2-window range with an end lean-to, an off-centre entrance with 6-panel door, the top pair glazed with a flat canopy, ground-floor tripartite sashes and first-floor mullion casements. Rear of front range has a large hipped stair tower, and a small dormer with cambered head. INTERIOR: has a collar truss roof and a dogleg stair. The asymmetrical front fenestration and entrance and the large stair tower suggest an earlier build, although no conclusive evidence for this was found. Listing NGR: TQ8307365625
