GOODNESTONE THE STREET TR 25 SE (West side) 3/93 Walled gardens to north of Goodnestone Park GV II Walled gardens. Circa 1700, in parts repaired C19 and C20. Red brick. Three irregular courts, with continuous central path, each court about 75 yards by 25, although the southernmost is larger, the whole encompassing about 4 acres. The walls are an average about 8 feet high or more with tall piers to the openings, showing signs of late C19, early C20 reconstruction. The bonding varies from an irregular English bond and Garden Wall bond to Flemish bond, sometimes with coping.
