TR 24 NW DENTON AND WOOTTON WOOTTON LANE (north side) 1/64 Group of 3 headstones about 1 to 5 metres south of Church of St. Martin GV II Three headstones. Richard Spain, d.1726. About 3 ½ feet high with scrolled head with motifs of crossed scythe & spade and crossed bones separated by central skull. Elizabeth Spain, early C18. About 2 feet high, with inscription on fielded panel, with scrolled pediment over, with skull, crossed bones and crossed scythe and spade. The name of her father has been neatly chiselled out of the inscription. John Spain, d.1777. About 3½ feet high with scrolled head and 2 winged cherubs' heads.
