Description

1. 5275 KING STREET STREET (South-West Side) No 62 (The Dutch House) TR 3357 NW 2/110 19.5.50. II* GV 2. L shaped late C17 building, 2 storeys, 2 windows facing the street. Brick painted white. Consisting of 5 bays with 4 brick pilasters between them and a stringcourse above ground floor. The ground floor has had arcading with keystones over the arches in each bay. These only remain intact in the outside bays, of which the south bay contains the original 9-panel door. On the 1st floor of the outer and centre bays are panels of ornamental brickwork. C18 sash windows, glazing bars intact, inserted on the 1st floor of the intervening bays. Below these are 2 modem windows, not in character. Between these in the centre of the ground floor is an C18 doorway with fluted wooden pilasters, pediment and 6-panel fielded door. The west wing behind runs back into a shaped Dutch gable. Nos 60 to 68 (even) King Street form a group. Listing NGR: TR3315457985
