House, now retirement home. C16, encased and second storey added late C17, ground-floor altered early C19. Red Flemish bond brick with black headers, tile-hung rear, brick rear lateral stacks and tiled hipped valley roof. PLAN: T-shaped 2-room plan with rear service range. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and cellar; 4-window range. Double fronted with plinth, plat bands to ground and first floors, and eaves cornice; largely C19 ground floor has a round-arched doorway set in a similar recess, with channelled imposts, radial fanlight and good 6-panel door, and flanking tripartite windows with 6/6-pane and 2/2-pane sashes; first-floor rubbed brick flat arches with stepped keystones, to horned 2/2-pane sashes in exposed flush frames. Ends have parapets with curved front ends, plat bands, and 1-window range, the S end has a blind second-floor window. Rear is tile-hung, with a short SE lean-to and external stack, split roof, and stuccoed 2-storey C16 range. INTERIOR: a central through passage contains a front dogleg stair with column newels and stick balusters, and an elliptical arch; rear range has a large fireplace and chamfered stopped lateral and axial beams, and a rear left-hand winder service stair; first-floor has lateral beams pegged to jowl posts with mortice holes to the front and rear range; 2-panel doors, cupboards with HL-hinges, and a stone winder stair to the cellar.
