Description

RIPPLE SUTTON TR 34 NW Winklandoaks Farmhouse 11.10.63 GV II* House. Late C17 and mid C18. Red brick and plain tiled roof. Central block in Artisan Mannerist style, a portion of a larger building, now with later and smaller flanking blocks. Two storeys and attic on plinth with plat band and frieze, with flint panels, and originally with modillion eaves cornice supported on 4 giant pilasters. Hipped roof with 1 flat roofed dormer and stack to end right. Lower 2 storey hipped wings to left, the brickwork bonded irregularly into the main block, and to right, a former granary. One glazing bar sash on each floor on left hand block and 1 metal casement on each floor on right hand block. Centre with 3 light wooden casement on first floor with keyed head, and tripartite sash on ground floor with triple keyed basket arch. Half-glazed door to left with basket arch and raised brick surround. Listing NGR: TR3399048426
