Bank. 1903 by W Campbell Jones. Limestone ashlar, ashlar ridge stacks and tiled roof. STYLE: Arts and Crafts. PLAN: 2-room corner site. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; 3-gable range. Rock-faced ground-floor, with sill bands to each floor, and steep coped gables with finials connected by a parapet. Single bay to High Street, 2 to the right return, each with 3 keyed segmental-arched ground-floor windows with architraves, first-floor flat-headed windows with segmental-arched labels on brackets, and second-floor windows divided by small niches with a cornice with segmental-arched centre. Left-hand 2-storey bay has a projecting porch with a flat-headed doorway and balustrade. Curved 1-bay corner recessed; above is an octagonal ogee-domed lantern with segmental arches to small windows, and rectangular lights above. Plate-glass sashes. INTERIOR: altered mid C20 to the ground floor. A well-composed Arts and Crafts bank which effectively turns the corner site.
