1. 1253 HILLSIDE STREET (South Side) The Old Manor House TR 1634 NW 2/37 3.1.50 II GV 2. Formerly St Leonard's House. Dated 1654. The road elevation is of 3 storeys red brick on a base of rubble, now plastered. Tiled roof. Wooden bracket eaves cornice and brick stringcourse. 4 dormers, 4 windows and 4 window spaces with glazing bars intact. There is a projection of 2 windows and 2 storeys in the centre of the front with shaped gable over flanked by urns and with a tablet in the centre containing a cartouche and pediment over. Doorcase in fluted frame with rectangular fanlight and pediment over supported on brackets and 4-panel double doors. A small wooden ground floor projection forms the tradesmen's entrance to the west of the main projection. The Old Manor House forms a group with Nos 5 and 5A. The Old Manor House shall be amended to read The Manor House. The group note should be amended to read The Manor House forms a group with Nos 5 and 5A.
