Description

TR 1643-1743 ELHAM HIGH STREET (East Side) 9/32 Stables about 3½ metres north of The Rose and Crown Inn GV II Stables. C19. Front elevation red and grey brick in Flemish bond. Right gable end and rear weatherboarded. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys. Gabled, with brick gable-end stacks. Irregular fenestration of two two- light casements to left of centre. Ventilation grilles to ground floor. Boarded first-floor door to right of centre. Rear (east) elevation, to courtyard, has two three-light first-floor casements and boarded first- floor door. Three paned windows and three stable doors to ground floor. Single-storey weatherboarded range with gable plain-tile roof, two windows and three stable doors running east from north side of courtyard. Interior not inspected. Included for group value.
