Farmhouse. C16 or, probably, earlier, with C17 alterations and late C18 main range. C16 or earlier wing roughly-coursed knapped flint and sandstone, with stone quoins and dressings. Front elevation of main range red and grey brick in Flemish bond. Plain tile roof. Short C16 or earlier section now forming rear left wing, and extended forwards, possibly in C17. Late C18 main range, of two parallel ranges, enveloping the forward extension in its left end. Front elevation: 2 storeys and cellar. Stone plinth with stone quoins and brick top course. Plat band. Dentilled brick eaves cornice, returning to left and right. Hipped roof. Projecting brick stack with rendered and corniced flue to left gable end, and projecting stack with stone base to right gable end. Irregular fenestration of 3 recessed sashes with cambered heads; two tripartite (with four-pane central sections) and "central" four-pane sash with narrow margin lights. Two tripartite ground- floor sashes. Splayed rubbed brick voussoirs to all windows. Door with four sunk panels and rectangular four-light fanlight behind porch with hipped roof, to left of centre. Left end of main range has very short left return, gabled down to rear left wing. Rear left wing two lower storeys, with fragment of chamfered stone plinth. Roof hipped to rear. Projecting C17 or C18 brick gable-end stack to rear, of red and grey brick in Flemish bond on galleted stone base, with irregular shoulders and moulded flue plinth. Plain-chamfered rectangular stone first-floor window towards centre of left side of wing, with plain-chamfered transom and lower mullion, and with C19 two-light casement to upper half. Outline of a similar blocked window to ground floor. Long right side of wing red and grey brick in Flemish bond. Interior: only partly inspected. Rear wing has blocked inglenook fireplace with wooden bressumer, to gable end, and joists of relatively large scantling. Stone cellar with beamed ceiling under left end room and entrance hall of main range, but possibly relating to the extension of the left wing. Right ground-floor room of main range has chamfered axial beam and brick fireplace with bressumer.
