Description

TR 23 NW HAWKINGE GRAVEYARD HILL (east side) 7/133 1.2.1979 Hawkinge Hall GV II Farmhouse. Late C18 or early C19. Red brick in Flemish bond. Plain tile roof. Double depth. 2 storeys and semi-basement. Plain stone-coped parapet. Hipped roof to each range. Right and left gable-end stacks to front and rear. Irregular fenestration of 5 recessed four-pane sashes with splayed rubbed brick voussoirs. Similar windows to ground floor. Central door of six sunk moulded panels, with plain rectangular fanlight. Doorcase of fluted pilasters with panels above capitals, and with moulded triangular pediment. Interior not inspected, but said to contain inglenook fireplace, mantelpieces, and panelling.
