House, now house row. C15 or early C16, with late C16 or early C17 alterations, late C17 or early C18 facade, and late C18 or early C19 alterations and addition. Main range timber framed, with red and grey brick facade in Flemish bond. Left addition red brick in Flemish bond. Plain tile roof. Main range comprises open hall of 2 timber-framed bays and, probably, storeyed end bays. Late C18 or early C19 addition to left, of two parallel ranges. 2 storeys. Stone plinth and brick plat band to main range. Each range of addition has hipped roof to left, with lower ridge than main range. Main range roof hipped down to left. Flat-topped brick gable to right, with plain eaves band and kneelers. Brick stack in front slope of roof, to right of centre of main range, in shorter right hall bay. Brick gable-end ridge stack to right. Irregular fenestration of 4 recessed twenty-pane sashes with thin glazing bars; one to left addition, and two to left and two to right of main-range stack. Half-glazed door under open timber-framed porch to left end of addition, to No. 4, and ribbed door with gabled plain tile canopy to left of centre of main range, to No. 2. Further doors in rear lean-to. Interior: only partly inspected. Left end-of-hall partition with tension-braced central stud on ground floor. Cambered, hollow-chamfered central-truss tie-beam with hollow-chamfered fillet and arch brace, and moulded octagonal crown post. Chamfered cross beam, axial beam and joists, to inserted hall floor. Two-light ovolo- moulded mullion window to rear wall, lighting stairs behind stack. Late C16 or early C17 brick fireplace in English bond to left side of stack, with stepped, chamfered brickwork to rear wall, seats and cambered bressumer.
