TR 14 NE ELHAM PARK GATE 2/57 The Old Farmhouse II Farmhouse, now house. Late C17, with largely mid-to-late C20 front elevation. Front elevation red brick in stretcher bond. Left gable end rendered. Right gable end and rear red and grey brick in an irregular bond. Plain tile roof. Double depth. Formerly central- entry plan. 2 storeys and garret. C17 chamfered brick plinth to front elevation and gable ends. Plat band to rear elevation, and right gable end. Plain eaves band to front. Roof of each range half- hipped to left and right, the half-hips joined across top with a ridge. Projecting rendered brick stack with chamfered plinth and irregular offsets to left gable end of front range. Similar, unrendered red and grey brick stack to right gable end of front range, with plain brick cornice band. Regular C20 three-window front of two three- light casements and blind central window. Small rectangular chamfered brick ground-floor window to left of centre of rear elevation. Blocked moulded and recessed rectangular brick ground-floor window to right gable end, to front of stack, and traces of blocked brick windows to rear of it. Door towards rear to right gable end. C19 single-storey red and grey brick rear addition to right, with gabled plain tile roof, end stack, and gabled two-light dormer window to right side. Interior: chamfered cross beams-.to ground floor, axial beams to first floor. Part of head of chamfered C17 doorway between ranges towards centre.
