HIGH STREET 1. 1355 (North-West Side) No 42 (Whyke Cottage) No 44 (Terry Cottage) No 46 (The Don) No 48. TR 0420 NW 1/13 II GV
2. A row of 4 cottages of which the exterior apparently dates from the late C18 or early C19, but the cottage known as "The Don" has a date stone 1693 over its ground floor windows. Timber-framed behind. 2 storeys. Ground floor is stone rubble badly patched with red brick. The 1st floor is red or brown brick but the brickwork of No 48 has been renewed. Tiled roofs. Glazing bars intact except on the ground floor of No 48 which has been converted into a small modern shop window. Nos 44 and 46 have doorcases with projecting cornices over supported on brackets. Nos 36 to 50 (even) form a group.
