Description

ROCHESTER HIGH STREET TQ 7567 NW 13/165 Nos 367, 369 and 371 23-8-74 GV II 3 houses, now shops. Early to mid C18. Painted brick, weatherboarded rear, 3 storeys, 2 bays each C20 shop frontage unites all three ground floors. Nos 367 and 369 have 2 first and 2 second floor windows each: 12 pan sashes with some glazing bars missing to first floor only, fixed and louvred plate glass inserted replacements to second floor, all openings under flat rubbed brick arches. No 371 has pilaster strips with arches with imposts to first floor only. 12-pane sashes in reveals to 2nd floor. Parapet conceals 4 hipped roofs under separate pitches at right angles to facade. Rear: entirely weatherboarded on brick basement. 16 pane sashes. Interior: No 367 has in situ mid C18 dogleg staircase with central newel posts with pendants below, turned balasters on urn bases. Some cornices, 2 field panelling, 2 panel doors with 'L' hinges survive. Interior of 369 and 371 not seen. Listing NGR: TQ7523367929
