Description

A fine stretch of medieval town planning, which is places, includes the ditch. The wall on its easternstrech stands to its full height and is only brocken on its northern and eastern strech. Themomument consists of most of the eastern side (except eastern gate) of the 14th cenutry city walls, some of the south side and a short 8m stretch of the North side. Most of the remaining wall stands to its full heihgt (approx 6m) and both NE and SE towers remain, some Roman wall is incorporated in the middle of the eastern side and the short stretch of the northern wall includes some later brick work. There is evidence of the ditch on the midle of the eastern side.
