Description

TQ 96 SE LYNSTED LONDON ROAD (south side) 3/56 No.20, The Dover Castle GV II Public house. Early C18 extended early C19. Roughcast and plain tiled roof. Two storeys and basement on plinth with paired moddillioned eaves cornice to roof with kneelered gable ends, 2 hipped dormers and stacks at left and right ends. Regular fenestration of five glazing bar sashes on first floor in moulded segment-headed frames, and 4 segment-headed sashes on ground floor. Central halfglazed door in panelled surround with pilasters and flat hood on brackets. One storey extension to left with parapet, 2 glazing bar sashes and 6 panelled door to right. Recessed 2 storey extension to right with 2 wood casements and garage doors. Listing NGR: TQ9536462388
