TQ 95 NW NEWNHAM FOXENDEN 3/31 Foxenden Manor (formerly 27.8.52 listed as Foxenden Farmhouse) II* House. C16, 1604 and 1948. Timber framed and exposed with plaster infill, on flint base, with plain tiled roof. C20 extension to left of rendered brick with applied timbers. End right framed bays 2 storeys and jettied, with ogee braced frame, and returned hipped roof. Central gable of 2 storeys and attic, jettied at first floor and to gable, with carved gable bresummer, bargeboard and pendant, and dated 1604 in framed surround in gable. Stacks to centre left and at end right. Irregular fenestration of 1 wooden casement to left and right on each floor, and brick and wooden mullioned bay window below gable of 5 lights, alternating with and without transoms.
