2. This momument stood originally in the grounds at Kingsland, which belonged to Charles James Fox. When Kingsland was sold, the new owners, who had married into the Powell-Cotton family, brought it to Quex Park. The monument consists of a stone plain Corinthian column with a stone base, surmounted by an urn. It was erected to the memory of Margaret Kildare, Countess of Hilsborough who died at Naples in 1767.
