VICTORIA PARADE 1. 5283 BROADSTAIRS No 2 (Dickens House) TR 3967 NE 1/1 24.1.50 II GV 2. Early C19. 3 storeys painted brick sun fire plaque. Parapet. 5 windows. Modern casement windows inserted in the second floor. C19 balcony with hood added and porch below it. 2 small bay windows on the ground floor with glazing bars intact. In this house lived the original of Betsy Trotwood in Charles Dicken's "David Copperfield" It is now a museum run by the Dickens Fellowship. Nos 1 to 6 (consec) form a group.
