Description

1. 5280 CHEVENING CHIPSTEAD High Street (North Side) The George and Dragon Public House TQ 5056 SW 3/139 10.9.54 II 2. The core of this building is probably a cl6 framed structure. Elevation facing the street of painted brick with wide painted stone base, contains brick band, 2 storeys and 3 gable ends. Various odd Cl9 wooden casement windows with public house glazed double doors in pilastered doorcase with entablature over. Inn sign suspended from projecting bracket in centre. Elevation facing yard with exposed ½ timbering and brick infilling and tile hung above. Cl8 random stone additions to right hand side facing street of l-storey with hip tiled roof, eaves and no gutter. External stone chimney at side of Inn wmth Cl8 coupled brick stacks.
