Description
                            KNOLE PARK 1. 1614                                            Plymouth Lodge                                Entrance, gateway                                            and screen walls TQ 5355/2/84               13.4.51 II 2.
Pair of early C19 battlemented lodges connected in centre by ornamental gates. Each lodge consists of one small square building of 1 storey with 1 mullioned Gothic lattice casement, battlemented parapet and concealed slate roof. Moulded string course below parapet.  Built of random stone with ashlar dressings.  Square stone gate-piers connected to lodges by short screen walls. Gate-piers surmounted by carved stone rampart Unicorns supporting shields.
