Description

1. 5280 SEAL SEAL High Street (South Side) The Crown Inn TQ 5556 NW 28/1021 II 2. Probably a C16 framed structure, but with later elevational treatment. 4 gable ends facing street. 2 end gables with C18 painted weatherboarding. 2 centre gable ends with late C19 mock 1/2 timbering and rendered infilling. 2 storeys and attic window to left in gable end. Ground floor. Rendered. 2 C19 projecting octagon bay windows with tiled roofs. In centre, modern public house front with casement to right. First floor. At either end, a C19 casement with bars with small bracketed hoods over. In centre, 2 modern sets of casements. Side elevation. Painted brickwork with projecting external chimney. Bracketed gutter and eaves. Modern inn sign and post standing in front. Listing NGR: TQ5502156698
